Weight Watcher Wednesday #5

Last week I was down 1.4, for a total of 11.8 pounds lost. I'm a little worried about this week, due to my trip out of town and my lack of restraint! ;-) Here's to hoping that I gain less than a pound...

My Weight Watcher dinner recipe of the week:

CROCK POT CHICKEN STROGANOFF

5 Points 6 Servings
237 calories 1 g. fiber 4 g. fat

6 4-oz. BSCB
1 can FF cream of chicken soup
16 oz. FF sour cream
1 (1 oz) envelope dry onion soup mix

Spray crock pot with Pam.

Place chicken in bottom of slow cooker.

Combine soup, sour cream and onion soup mix. Pour over chicken.

Cook on low 6-7 hours.

Serve over rice or noodles for additional points.

This turned out to be really yummy!! I made it and added it to whole wheat pasta.

~~**SNACKS**~~

A big thank you to my cousin, Heather, who is a lifetimer at Weight Watchers who gave some fabulous snack choices. Here they are:

1 tbs of peanut butter & polaner sugar free preserves (with fiber) on a arnolds whole wheat sandwich thin 3 points very soft & good!

I also made these yummy No Pudge Brownie Bites. I bought the Cappuccino flavor and followed the recipe, which calls for non-fat vanilla yogurt. I put the batter in my Pampered Chef mini muffin pan and baked them according to the directions. When I pulled them out of the oven I used my tart depressor to push down the center of each brownie and add 3-4 chocolate chips. So yummy that I don't think I can make them anymore. I ate them all since I made them on Tuesday! Did I just admit that? :-o

Happy 10th Birthday to my nephew...

My sister has a boy and a girl and my brother has 3 girls. That leaves this boy

as my only nephew. Today he turned double digits...10. Happy Birthday Kendall...you will never see single digits again!!

This past weekend we went down to my sister's to celebrate Kendall's birthday. I really thought I had my life with 3 kids down to a science...yea, until we arrived at my sister's house in the middle of the night. Moriah needed changed and so Jeremy went to get her clothes from the truck. Jeremy's clothes, my clothes, Chandler's clothes, Lincoln's clothes...but not Moriah's. I left EVERYTHING of Moriah's stacked and waiting in her room back home. Can you believe it?! But what a great excuse to go shopping. We couldn't let the little princess spend the whole weekend in her 7 year old cousins nightgown, right? Old Navy to the rescue! And can you believe that I was able to cash in on their October 30th promotion of the first 50 people in line get 50% off their ENTIRE purchase, including the clearance!

We spent over two hours at Old Navy, then hit up a few more stores before coming home and resting before Kendall's party on Friday night. My crazy nephew wanted his party:
1: At the park
2: After dark
3: And their entire church invited

My sister even rented a cotton candy machine. It was everything my nephew wanted and all of the kids had a blast...even Lincoln!

The next morning we met Papa and Nanny Gwen at one of Nanny Gwen's favorite places... The Cracker Barrel

My niece Kennedy with both her front teeth in before breakfast...

now, with one tooth missing, courtesy of Uncle Jeremy! (He pulled her other front tooth out by the end of our visit.)

Lincoln John all tuckered out on daddy's lap

The last stop of our trip was to The Old Spaghetti Factory. I don't know what it is about that place, but I LOVE it! We used to have one here in Vegas, but they are no longer here. I request to go there everytime we go down. Mmmmm...spaghetti with Mizithra Cheese and White Clam Sauce...

Happy 4th Birthday to 2 Very Special Little Angels

Another year gone by...today would have been Landon & Carson's 4th birthday. As I have every year, I have written their annual birthday message on their memorial site. After typing their message, I went back and read my past messages to them. Here is a snippet of what I wrote last year:

For now, I am enjoying being a mom to big brother Chandler, who is now 7 and doing fabulously well in 2nd grade and to little sister Moriah, who is the fashionista pistol of our family. Although my heart still aches to have you here with us, I rejoice to know that I will again hold you someday!

P.S. Can you send in a request for 1 more blessing to our family...and an extra dose of convincing for your daddy?!

Who knew that I was actually pregnant with Lincoln when I wrote that and would find out on November 16, just a mere two weeks after that message.

I won't repeat what I wrote on their memorial site here, but you are welcome to head over to their site and light a candle or leave a message in their memory.

Happy 4th Birthday Landon & Carson! We love and miss you...

Weight Watcher Wednesday

Last week I was down 3 pounds, for a total of 10.4 pounds. I will be weighing in a day earlier this week due to some plans we have for the weekend and not being able to make it to my regular class. I better get on the right track if I want to see the scale go down!

This week I am focusing on some wonderful snacks that are fabulous and are all under 3 points! Please add your own favorite WW snack in the comment section of this post for me and others to enjoy!

Enjoy and happy eating! ;-)

1 point popcorn! There are very few products that WW endorses. But here is a fabulous product that they have put their stamp of approval on. Jolly Time Healthy Pop popcorn = A WHOLE ENTIRE bag for 1 point!!! A staple in your WW snack drawer.

Individual 100 calorie packs of nuts and in this case...Almonds
I know that you can do this yourself, but in all honesty, I NEVER do. I like the fact that it is already pre-measured for me and I can grab one, eat it and know the exact points. I bought these at Wal-Mart (as I do most of my groceries.)

Skinny Cow Chocolate Truffle bars
Verdict: Okay. 2 points per bar, but I would much rather have one of the WW desserts.

No Pudge Brownie Mix ~ Yippppeeee! You can use this mix to make an individual brownie in the microwave or make a whole batch. All you need is the mix and nonfat vanilla yogurt. Mix and cook in microwave or bak in oven. I bought this at Traders Joes, but think it is available at most grocery stores.

Now please share your own WW snack ideas!

NEW PICTURES!!

Not that you would notice, but I 'normally' get the baby's picture done right on the 20th of each month, but I knew that I wanted to get all three in the picture this time, so I had to wait until this weekend. We went today and here they are...

Enjoy!

Chandler is 8, Moriah is 2 1/2 and Lincoln is 3 months

Weight Watcher Wednesday ~ #4

No recipes pictures this week, but a recipe indeed...I am sure you can mentally picture this! I took 5 boneless, skinless, chicken breasts (bscb) and put them in the crock pot. I covered them with bar-b-que sauce and let them slow cook all day. Closer to dinner time, I shredded them with a fork and added a little more bar-b-que sauce. Took said shredded bar-b-que chicken, placed on toasted bun and voila...shredded bar-b-que chicken sandwiches. Very low in points, depending upon what kind of roll/bread/bun you use.

Down 1.2 last week...here is to a better week and hopeful losing! ;)

What is your favorite candy? I could eat just about anything...but again, I said 'just about'. My favorite candy is:

~ Almond Joy = 2 snack size bars for 4 points
~ Mounds = 2 snack size bars for 4 points
~ Resses Peanut Butter Cup Miniatures = 5 pieces for 5 points!!

It seems like all of my favorites are quite high in points. Here are some other options that are much lower:

~ 1 pack of plain M&M's fun size = 2 points
~ 1 box of Hot Tamales = 1 point

Have a great week at losing! ;-)
